Rare Birds, Fabulous Characters Who Called St. Joseph Home

March 2 @ 8:00 am - 6:00 pm

Did you know that a St. Joseph Founding Father locked a business competitor in a cellar? Or that his son scandalized the town by swimming naked in the river? Did you know that “The King of Pills” lived here, as did the world-expert on voodoo – a woman who was inducted into the Fox Indian tribe with the status of a brave? St. Joseph has accommodated many remarkable people, and Harrison Hartley will show pictures and tell stories about some of them in his presentation “Rare Birds: Fabulous Characters Who Called St. Joseph Home” on Saturday, 2 March, 6:00 pm, at Robidoux Row Museum; free and open to the public!
Come and hear about the entrepreneur who parachuted into the Grand Canyon; The Prophet who lived in a cabin by the river; the artist who was in the Ambulance Corps in North Africa during WWII and painted his own portrait with his thumb…. and more! We hope to see you there!
